Click <Testimony by Readers> at left of this page, you will find many testimonies of the patients with pictures who were healed and doctors confirmation. In "Holy Spirit, Hover Over Me," Rev. Joshua Doshick Joe, the founder and chairman of the Whole Race Gospel & Missionary Service and evangelist of the Worldwide Holy Spirit Revival Movement, shares how during the last fifteen years the Holy Spirit spiritually trained him to work as a missionary and spread Jesus' gospel all over the world. The book aims to testify to the innumerable miracles performed by the Holy Spirit through the author, to show that God loves all humanity, and to explain how, by receiving the Holy Spirit's baptism, everyone can secure their way to eternal life in heaven after their deaths. Prior to January 1, 1990, before he became a born-again Christian, the sixty-year old Korean-born, American-based author was a highly self-centered and ambitious person, who worked in the prosperous business of international trade for twenty-five years. Three times he was elected president of the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA, and twice he served as chairman of the World Conference of Leaders of Koreans Living Overseas. However, from the day he was chosen by the Holy Spirit to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature," the author gave up all his personal and business interests. He completely devoted himself to both evangelizing the Holy Spirit's message to pastors, churches and congregations and to delivering bread to church members and shelters for homeless people. According to his wife, his "change of heart by the Holy Spirit is the greatest of the Holy Spirit's miracles we have ever experienced." Reverend Joshua narrates the many instances when Jesus helped him. For example, Jesus saved him from "the hands of Satan, the devil, demons and evil spirits," cured his family's chronic diseases and infirmities, and guided him whenever he got lost on the road. Besides numerous other miracles, he recounts how his prayers to the Holy Spirit helped to heal other sick people, multiply a few dozen donuts into enough bread to feed 400,000 to 450,000 people, raise the price of a $0.50 stock to $136.00, and meet the expenses of a Holy Spirit meeting when the budget was initially insufficient. In addition, this enlightening book discusses questions like: Why is the Worldwide Holy Spirit Revival Movement necessary? How does a person discern between the Holy Spirit and evil spirits? How can someone cast out demons? How can a person beware of false prophets? and How does the Holy Spirit help poor churches and pastors in difficulty? Other chapters detail the Holy Spirit's word given to all human beings, the Holy Spirit's way of training how to evangelize, the Holy Spirit's words given to people who obstruct the Worldwide Holy Spirit Revival Movement, and the punishment given to Christians who disobey God's word. Interspersed profusely with passages from the Holy Bible, this volume also includes an array of colored photographs and recommendation letters from Dr. Henderson Belk, the founder and president of Henderson Christian University, Rev. & Dr. Gyum II Na, senior pastor of Ju An Presbyterian Church, and other pastors. Written in a simple, lucid style, this deeply religious and highly inspiring book is an outstanding resource for pastors, churches, and Christians. BookWire Review July 29, 2005 |
